My Take
I really enjoyed these. Pirates (sort of) and dragons … what’s not to like? The characters, human and not, were wonderful. Joron is a bit annoying at first but he grows, and grew on me. Always nice to see non-human characters done well. The story builds nicely over the three books, to a satisfying conclusion. A great adventure with lots of action yet still meaningful. I liked it so much I recommended it to my husband, who also liked it.
