My Take
I like new takes on Arthurian legend. This one is not my favorite — that’s still the Mary Stewart trilogy — but I liked the focus here on the female characters rather than the male. A bit depressing given the position of women in this society but that felt realistic. It was interesting to see how women managed to influence events despite that. The magic system was lightly covered and well-done. I’ll look for more books by her.
