My Take
Other than the setting in France, and Carcassonne in particular (I was on vacation in France, and we went to Carcassonne), and it being free through Kindle Unlimited, there wasn’t a whole lot for me here. I liked the book but won’t be carrying on to the next in the series. I found the characters flat and uninteresting, and the central love interest difficult to believe. I did learn something about that period in history, so it wasn’t a total waste.
