My Take
I love a good heist story and Six of Crows is. Bonus that it’s peopled with a lovable bunch of rogues. Well, except Matthias but he grew, and grew on me. It’s actually not a single heist but a whole series of but first we have to … Just a great bit of escapism. I thought Crooked Kingdom was perhaps a notch below but hey, I had to find out what happened to everyone. One thing I enjoyed was how the character’s back stories are dropped into the plot periodically. Yes, it might slow the action but it also gives you a chance to catch your breath. If there was another book in the series I’d be on it. Since there isn’t I’ll move to King of Scars. Not ready to leave the Grishaverse yet!
