by Philip K Dick
It was January 2021, and Rick Deckard had a license to kill. Somewhere among the hordes of humans out there, lurked several rogue androids. Deckard’s assignment–find them and then…”retire” them. Trouble was, the androids all looked exactly like humans, and they didn’t want to be found!
My take
This is the second book I’ve read by Philip K Dick (the other was The Man in the High Castle, which I read a couple of years ago?) and I found both meh. I almost feel guilty (or stupid) or both, since he has a lot of fans, but while the premise was interesting I just couldn’t care about any of the characters. And it’s not that they’re androids; I love Murderbot. So I guess that’s it for me on Philip K Dick.
