Dangerous Damsels
Once you adapt to the idea of flying houses, it’s fun reading. Yes, flying houses. Castles even.

The mysteries are good, the characters are likeable, and unfortunately the series has ended. (But her standalone novels are great too!)
An interesting mystery, where the person who “solves” the crime isn’t actively trying to solve it, more just really wants to know what happened.
Not only set in a Victorian-esque society but almost like a Victorian novel in writing style and restraint. Ultimately a fun read.
The pace was slow at times but it didn’t drag, exactly. I mean, they had to walk everywhere, so it was realistic.
Engaging characters, great sense of place, very readable, and really well-plotted mysteries.
