The Burning Kingdoms
I expected to like this one better than I did. I saw a lot of hype about it. I didn’t dislike it. I liked the second and third books much better than the first. A really intriguing read.
The Blue Bar
I really liked the setting. The mystery itself might be only average if set in a more familiar place.
The Winnowing Flame Trilogy
Other than the ewww factor — which added to the atmosphere — it was a very enjoyable if emotional read and a fresh new world to explore.
Full Immersion
It’s a gut-wrenching read. It’s really good, just really tough to read. And I’m not a parent.
